ABOUT THE ABILITY EXPERIENCE

Durward Owen and Thomas Sayre founded The Ability Experience, formerly Push America, in 1977, as the national Philanthropy of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity with the purpose of bettering the quality of life of people with disabilities.

Today there are many programs and events that allow the men of Pi Kappa Phi and society to help those in need. Some notable programs are The Journey of Hope, Gear Up Florida, and Build America. Through volunteer relationships with local communities, men of Pi Kappa Phi fraternities are able to create a lasting relationship in their local area as they help people with disabilities and make lifelong memories. Through these programs and volunteering opportunities we are able to raise awareness of the needs of people with disabilities.

With your help, together we will change the way society views both people with disabilities and fraternities!

Mission

We use shared experiences to support people with disabilities and develop the men of Pi Kappa Phi into servant leaders.

Vision

Create a community, one relationship at a time, where the abilities of all people are recognized and valued.

Values

Abilities, Teamwork, Empathy and Integrity
